Disney+ Xbox app gets launch date for South Africa

For those who have been waiting for the localised version of Disney+ to arrive on consoles, the app now has a launch date for Xbox.

Disney Africa has announced that the Xbox version of the Disney+ app will arrive on 29 September in South Africa.

Consoles that will support the app include the Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.

Currently, the streaming service is supported on Android, iOS, web browsers, and LG and Samsung smart TVs.

TV boxes that support the app include a number of Android TV devices, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV. The streaming service also supports Chromecast Gen 2 and newer, as well as the DSTV Explora Ultra.

But the streaming service has yet to launch a localised version supported by PlayStation consoles.

With some users facing issues streaming Disney+ on their mobile phones and smart TVs, the Xbox app brings another option to the market.
