Xiaomi has announced the launch of its second physical authorised store in South Africa, this time in Cape Town.

The Cape Town store, located at Canal Walk, follows the launch of the technology giant’s first South African store in November at Sandton City in Johannesburg.

“The opening of these two physical stores demonstrates Xiaomi’s recognition of South Africa as a very important market, as well as its continued commitment to bring Innovation for Everyone, as has always been the brand’s mission from the beginning of its journey, ” the company said in a press release.

The new store, located at Shop 82 in Canal Walk, will allow consumers to experience Xiaomi products in person. While the company’s products are well-reviewed online, a physical store allows potential buyers to see the products in person before a purchase.

The official store opening is set for 16 December 2022 and will be accompanied by specials such as discounts of up to 50% on select items. If you purchase a new smartphone, such as a device in the new Xiaomi 12T series, you will receive a free Mi Band 5.

If you find yourself at Canal Walk before the launch, you can still check out the store as it has started operating. However, launch specials will only be available on 16 December.

The stores feature both smartphones and smart home products. So if you’re curious about the brand and are located near a store, make sure to experience them yourself.
