Sony has lifted the lid new INZONE audio devices for gaming: the INZONE Buds wireless gaming earbuds, and the lightweight INZONE H5 wireless headset.

Here’s what to know about the products and their pricing for South Africa.

Sony INZONE Buds features

The INZONE Buds are wireless noise-cancelling gaming earbuds aimed at both PC and console players.

Sony dubs the earbuds “its first truly wireless gaming earbuds”. They feature up to 12 hours of battery life (24 hours with the charging case) and a low latency connection with less than a 30ms delay when receiving via the USB-C dongle.

They also feature various gesture controls, such as tapping to increase volume; spatial sound; a microphone that uses AI-noise reduction; and audio personalisation features.

According to Sony, the design of the buds reduces contact with the ear to increase comfort.

Sony INZONE H5 gaming headset features

If you want a lightweight audio device but don’t want to go quite as streamlined as using earbuds, there’s the INZONE H5 headset.

The headset weighs only 260g and includes soft-fit earpads. According to Sony, it also includes a low-pressure design to help with extended gaming sessions.

The INZONE H5 headset has a battery life of up to 28 hours.

It also features a bidirectional boom microphone that includes AI-based noise reduction, as well as 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming.

INZONE Buds and H5 headset price for South Africa

Both devices will be available in South Africa from December 2023.

The INZONE Buds have a recommended retail price of R5,699.

Meanwhile, the INZONE H5 headset has a recommended price of R4,499.
