Twitter Blue is officially available in South Africa — but what price does the subscription offering come in at?
Previously, Twitter Blue was limited to just a few countries: Australia, Canada, the US, New Zealand, and the UK. But as part of recent expansion plans, the subscription has rolled out to over 28 countries, including Nigeria and South Africa.
How much does Twitter Blue cost in South Africa?

If you were hoping that localized pricing wouldn’t depend on the exchange rate, you’d be out of luck. The prices align closely with the dollar-to-rand exchange rate.
The global price for Twitter Blue is $8 per month on web and $11 per month on mobile.
In South Africa, the price for the web is R144.99 per month. If you opt for an annual subscription, which costs R1,519, this works out to R126.58 per month.
On the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, you’re looking at a price of R200 per month. The annual plan costs R2,099, which works out to around R174.92 per month.
For reference, the web price costs nearly as much as a monthly Netflix Standard Plan. Meanwhile, the mobile price costs about as much as a Netflix Premium Plan.
If you’re thinking of subscribing, just remember that Twitter Blue subs are non-refundable except where required by law.
