Honor has announced the release of its mid-range X9a smartphone, which features a large battery, rounded display, and triple-camera setup.
The company briefed media about the product on 31 January, highlighting key features, as well as details about its availability and pricing.
Honor X9a features

As part of Honor’s X series, the Honor X9a is aimed at delivering premium specs at a more affordable price point.
It features the first curved OLED display in the series with “deeply reinforced glass”. This means that despite the 45-degree curved screen edges, the device has passed multiple drop tests and other durability tests.
The 6.67-inch AMOLED display also features a 120Hz refresh rate.
It sports a 5100mAh battery, which according to Honor, can deliver up to two days of power with average use. This also translates to up to 24 hours of continuous video playback on the device. The battery also supports 40W charging, with the adaptor included in the box.
For its main camera, the Honor X9a has a triple-lens setup. This includes a 2MP macro lens, 5MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP main lens.
These lenses are housed in a circular ring, which Honor dubs its Dynamic Eye Design. This leaves room for customization, with owners able to add stickers to the round area at the centre of the design.
Honor says it will reveal more details about customization at a later date.
